Visitors will find the 1948 memorial to the victims of the 1943 Uprising in the former Jewish Ghetto.  It

was built with stone originally intended by the Nazis to celebrate their own victories. The Royal Way

extends south from the Old City along two broad interconnected avenues: Krakowskie Przedmiescie

which becomes the Nowy ‰öwiat as it passes by the
